Terrorists who demanded Bitcoin in return for not blowing up buildings in Ukraine's capital have been detained by authorities, according to an announcement from the Security Service of Ukraine.

The two men detained are allegedly responsible for a small subway explosion in Kiev on Tuesday, July 21. Following that attack, the men called the police saying that two other man-made bombs had been planted around the city. They then attached a note to an apartment building door threatening to blow the building up if they did not receive 50 BTC.

Using cell phone data and security camera footage the authorities were able to locate the suspects.
