China has agreed to the text for the phase one trade agreement with the United States, making for the most significant move in the 18-month long trade war between the two countries.

China's Vice Commerce Minister stated in a press briefing in Beijing that "major progress" has been made during negotiations and that the U.S. will keep its promise to cancel previously imposed tariffs on China-made goods on a phased in basis.
