Over 1,000 Bitcoin Stolen From The 2016 Bitfinex Hack Are On The Move

1,190 Bitcoin from the infamous Bitfinex hack in 2016 was transferred to an unknown wallet on Wednesday, according to crypto transaction tracker Whale Alert. 

The funds are equivalent to around $12,645,059. The funds were moved in three separate transfers over the course of two hours. The Bitcoin was moved from wallets associated with the attack to four unknown addresses.

In July, Whale Alert reported that 531.93 BTC worth $5.76 million at the time was transferred to other unknown addresses in nine separate transactions. 119,756 BTC worth $66 million at the time was lost to the 2016 Bitfinex hack.
