The blockchain patent company IPwe announced that it has reached a partnership with IBM and will use the IBM blockchain to convert patents into NFTs.

The announcement stated that the tokenization will make it easier to promote these patents to market. These NFTs will be stored and shared on the IPwe platform, which is hosted by IBM Cloud and supported by the IBM blockchain.

IPwe also launched a global patent market, which allows owners and other members of the patent ecosystem to participate in and conduct purchases, licenses, sales, and commercialization of patents. The tokenized intellectual property will be "commercially available" in the fourth quarter of 2021.
