According to reports, the French Financial Markets Authority (AMF) has indicated a potential ban on crypto companies licensed in other EU countries from operating in France, citing concerns over lax regulatory requirements in some jurisdictions leading to enforcement loopholes under the MiCA framework. Additionally, France, Austria, and Italy have jointly called for unified oversight of major crypto companies by the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA), and support for amending MiCA to strengthen regulation of crypto activities and cybersecurity outside the EU.
