According to Decrypt, South Korea's ruling party, the Democratic Party, has established a digital asset working group to draft comprehensive stablecoin and cryptocurrency legislation. The goal of this group is to enact digital asset laws at this year's regular session and the end-of-year National Assembly session. The country is facing increasing pressure from capital outflows, with $40.6 billion in digital assets transferred overseas in the first quarter of 2025, half of which were stablecoins.
