According to CoinTelegraph, Bitcoin treasury company Metaplanet has upgraded from a small-cap to a mid-cap during the semi-annual review by index provider FTSE Russell in September 2025, and has been included in the flagship FTSE Japan Index. With Metaplanet's inclusion in the FTSE Japan Index, it is also automatically added to the FTSE Global Index, which covers the largest listed companies in each geographic region by market capitalization.
